Minnesota-Duluth 20 Delta State 17 Division II Championship FINAL SCORE
Delta State tied the game up in the final minutes and on the following kickoff got lucky when a long return was called back. Minnesota-Deluth took over at their own 11 yard line and was able to drive down the field to kick a winning 32 yard field goal in the final seconds of the game to give Minnesota-Duluth their 2nd National Div. II Championship.

New Mexico Bowl BYU 52 UTEP 24 FINAL SCORE
BYU got off to a great start in the first quarter. They scored first when Bryan Kariya rushed in from 4 yards for the TD and then capped off a 12 play 78 yard drive with a Jake Heaps to Luke Ashworth 9 yard TD pass to give BYU the early lead at 14-0. On the following kickoff, Marlon McClure took it back 72 yards to give UTEP the ball at the BYU 22 yard line. The Miners however, went backwards 13 yards on their set of downs and had to settle for a 52 yard field goal by Dakota Warren to give UTEP their first score of the game. Mitch Payne added a 38 yard field goal for BYU to round out the scoring in the first quarter.
BYU wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter. They struck fast when BYU's Brandon Ogletree intercepted a Trevor Vittatoe pass at the UTEP 31. On the first offensive play after the interception for BYU QB Jake Heaps hit Cody Hoffman for a 31 yard touchdown. BYU kept pouring it on as on their next offensive series they hit for another touchdown. Once again Cody Hoffman was on the receiving end of a Jake Heaps touchdown pass - this time for 3 yards capped off a 64 yard scoring drive. Midway through the 2nd QT UTEP hit on a big 67 yard pass play from Trevor Vittatoe to Kris Adams to make it a 31-10 ballgame.
Halfway through the 3rd Quarter BYU scored again when JJ Di Luigi rushed in from 2 yards out for the touchdown. UTEP would answer that TD with a TD of their own when Trevor Vittatoe found Kris Adams for a 37 yard touchdown - his 2nd TD catch of the day. BYU then answered that TD just before the end of the 3rd quarter when Cody Hoffman caught his 3rd touchdown catch of the day - a 29 yard pass from Cody Hoffman.
Joshua Quezada added an 8 yard rushing touchdown a few minutes into the 4th QT for BYU to give them a 52-17 lead over UTEP. Just a few minutes later Trevor Vittatoe hit Kris Adams for a 49 yard touchdown for UTEP. The TD gave Kris Adams 3 touchdown catches on the day.
