UFC 124 Results

UFC 124 is wrapped up at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Georges St-Pierre was going up against Josh Koscheck defending his UFC Weleterweight Championship belt. Results from that fight as well as the other fights are below.

MAIN CARD

Georges St-Pierre beat Josh Koscheck via Unanimous Decision

This fight was a great fight right from the beginning when Georges St-Pierre bloodied Josh Koscheck's right eye. Josh Koscheck was bloodied, teary eyed and weary. It was surprising that Koscheck didn't go down in the second round. Third round belonged to GSP as Koscheck was in a defensive mode. GSP won the first 3 rounds unanimously. There was a moment before the 4th round when the medical team was checking out Koscheck possibly ending the fight there, but Koscheck checked out ok and said he could fight. GSP lit up Koscheck in the 4th round. Still was surprised Koscheck was still in the fight as he couldn't see out of his eye. His depth perception is off and his eye was swollen something fierce - possibly a fractured orbital. As the fifth round wound down it looked like Koscheck's eye started bleeding good. At times it looked like he was trying to protect it. At the 2 minute mark GSP took Koscheck down. With a minute left in the fight, they tied up and held on to each other. 30 seconds left all Koscheck could do was throw a couple of kicks. There were alot of punches thrown and GSP used his boxing skills to attack Koscheck. GSP controlled the fight from beginning to end. It was a unanimous decision for Georges St-Pierre, who gave props to Koscheck for hanging in there and putting up a good fight.
